Adam stood in the kitchen, which was just off to the left of the front door, when Waverly entered. He lifted his head from the glass of scotch he was pouring and greeted the girl with a nearly devious grin. The barest hint of fang showed from behind his upper lips but disappeared as he started to speak.
"I was beginning to think you weren't going to come you took so long"
Taking the glass into his hand, Adam moved around the counter towards his guest to reveal he was wearing only a pair of loose fit jeans and a plain black t-shirt. He held the glass of liquor with both hands as his eyes appreciatively fell over Waverly.
Waverly gave him an odd look, she wasn't quite sure of his predatory look. "You've never tried to get furry Satan into a tiny plastic box."
She sat the carrier on the floor and offered him a more pleasant greeting. "It's nice to put a face to the voice and the name. Hi. It's good to meet you, Adam."
The brunette made it a point to keep her focus on his face but she couldn't help glancing down to take in his decidedly not winter wardrobe. "How are you not freezing to death. I'm cold looking at you."

She still hadn't so much as unbuttoned her coat.
