Adam stood in the kitchen, which was just off to the left of the front door, when Waverly entered. He lifted his head from the glass of scotch he was pouring and greeted the girl with a nearly devious grin. The barest hint of fang showed from behind his upper lips but disappeared as he started to speak.
"I was beginning to think you weren't going to come you took so long"
Taking the glass into his hand, Adam moved around the counter towards his guest to reveal he was wearing only a pair of loose fit jeans and a plain black t-shirt. He held the glass of liquor with both hands as his eyes appreciatively fell over Waverly.
Adam let out a soft chuckle. "Same to you, Waverly." Adam replied and gestured for the woman to join him on the sofa with a jerk of his head as he headed over. "I'm a vampire, remember? The cold doesn't bother me at all. I have to admit though, you're voice doesn't do you justice, though it is a rather sexy voice."
Adam ignored the cat. It had all just been a ploy to get the girl there after all.
Sitting down and propping his feet up on the coffee table, Adam never took his eyes off of Waverly. He studied her for a few silent moments, taking in her expression and mannerisms. Finally he replied with "You're welcome, I think." Adam smirked at her, winking softly. "You don't believe I'm a vampire, do you?" Why hadn't he thought of that before? Maybe because he was so use to being around those that did actually believe.
