Waverly stiffened slightly, her shoulders squaring and her back going ramrod straight for an instant as the sound of his voice registered. It was far more stern and authoritative than what she was used to over the phone but as she took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, the dancer realized who the man was. Mark was standing right behind her. All she had to do was turn around.
Her head fell forward and her hair masked a slight smile as the brunette gathered herself. It only took a heartbeat or two. Pivoting around and looking up, Waverly found herself looking into Mark's eyes for the first time. "I'm not lost, Detective but I think I've been found."
As she let her eyes drift over his face and down to take in his outfit, nice tie, Waverly's smile deepened a bit and her cheeks colored only slightly. "I also think I owe you a kiss, don't I?"
